Which Hong Kong combo to book
First visit, views. Peak Tram + Sky Terrace 428 is the classic Hong Kong pair. You ride the historic tram up Victoria Peak, then go out on the viewing terrace on top of the Peak Tower. The Peak Tram round trip + Sky Terrace 428 + Madame Tussauds combo adds the wax museum in the same building. That's easy if you have kids or a rainy evening.
Big Buddha day. Ngong Ping Cable Car + Lantau Island guided tour is the most reviewed Hong Kong combo. It takes care of the cable car up to Ngong Ping and the tour of the island, which is the hard part to arrange yourself.
Theme parks. Headout pairs Disneyland 1-day entry with Premier Access and Ocean Park 1-day pass with FasTrack. Both are queue-saving add-ons rather than two attractions. They're worth it on weekends and holidays, when lines are longest.
Several sights in a few days. GetYourGuide sells the Go City Explorer Pass (choose a few attractions) and the Go City All-Inclusive Pass.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?
Not always. The Peak and Lantau combos are mostly about convenience: one booking, fixed tickets, and in the Lantau case transport sorted for you. The theme park bundles cost more than a plain entry, because the extra money buys shorter queues. For the Go City passes, add up the attractions you'd really visit and compare.
How the tickets work
You book once and receive the tickets on your phone, usually as separate QR codes for each part. Pick the date (and time, where asked) for each part. Queues for the Peak Tram can be long at sunset, so a time slot or an earlier visit helps. Cancellation conditions differ per product, so check them on the booking page.
