Which Art Institute combo to book
Every bundle uses the Art Institute's Fast Pass ticket, so the museum part is the same; what changes is the second stop.
Museum plus a view. Art Institute of Chicago + 360 CHICAGO Observation Deck is the best-rated pair. The deck is at the top of the former John Hancock Center on the Magnificent Mile, north along Michigan Avenue. Skydeck Chicago + Art Institute swaps in Willis Tower's Skydeck, but its few reviews are weaker.
Two big museums. Art Institute + Field Museum of Natural History suits a museum-heavy trip. The Field Museum is on the Museum Campus, south of Grant Park; you can walk there along the lakefront. Each museum easily fills half a day. The Chicago Top 3 Attractions Pass packs both museums and 360 Chicago into one product.
Architecture on the water. Three bundles add a river cruise: Art Institute + Chicago 90 Minute Architecture Sightseeing Cruise, Art Institute + Chicago River Cruise with CAC Guide aboard Chicago's First Lady, and Art Institute + Wendella's Lake & River Tour. River cruises in Chicago are seasonal, so check that sailings run on your dates.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?
The Art Institute bundles are about 5% cheaper than buying the two tickets on their own. The Top 3 Attractions Pass is priced as one product, so compare it with the parts you'd actually visit.
How the tickets work
You book once and get a separate ticket for each attraction, usually on your phone. Choose a date, and a time slot where asked, for each part; cruises sail at set times from their own docks. Cancellation conditions can differ per part, so read them on the booking page. More in how combo tickets work, and all city pairs on the Chicago combo tickets page.
