Combination tickets for The Hague's museums

The Hague's combos pair its museums: the Mauritshuis with Escher in The Palace is the one most people book. Panorama Mesdag, the Madurodam miniature park and, by the sea in Scheveningen, the SkyView Ferris wheel and SEA LIFE are the other building blocks.

Which Hague combo to book

  • Art lovers, one day: Mauritshuis + Escher in The Palace. The Mauritshuis is the home of Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring and other Dutch masters; Escher in The Palace shows M.C. Escher's prints in a former royal palace on the Lange Voorhout. Both are in the centre and pair easily.
  • Second visit, or something different: Escher in The Palace + Museum Panorama Mesdag, sold as a pass and as a bundle. Panorama Mesdag is a vast circular painting of the Scheveningen coast that you view from a dune platform in the middle.
  • A day at the beach: SkyView de Pier + SEA LIFE Scheveningen. The Ferris wheel stands on the pier and SEA LIFE is on the boulevard nearby, so the two fit into one afternoon by the sea. Escher in The Palace + SkyView splits the day between the centre and the coast, but has hardly any reviews.
  • Families: besides the beach pair above, Madurodam + Mauritshuis, sold as a pass and as a bundle. Madurodam is the Netherlands in miniature, on the way to Scheveningen; the Mauritshuis is in the centre, so allow time to get between them.
  • Two cities in one trip: Madurodam + Amsterdam canal cruise. Useful if you're staying in Amsterdam and coming to The Hague for a day, or the other way round.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?

The bundles (SkyView + SEA LIFE, and the bundle versions of Escher + Panorama Mesdag and Madurodam + Mauritshuis) are slightly cheaper than their parts. The passes, including Mauritshuis + Escher, are priced as single products; compare each with the two separate entry tickets before you book. There the main gain is one checkout and both entries sorted. If you hold a Dutch Museumkaart, check which of these museums it already covers before you pay for a combo.

How the tickets work

  • One order, separate tickets: each museum or attraction scans its own.
  • Some museums use timed entry. Check the slot for each part when you book.
  • Mobile tickets are usually fine; the booking page says if a printout is needed.
  • Cancellation rules can differ per part, so read the conditions before you pay.

There are no combos from other platforms for The Hague; what you see is the Tiqets range. Nearby, see the combos in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, or read how combo tickets work.

Questions

Is there a combination ticket for the Mauritshuis and Escher in The Palace?
Yes. Tiqets sells the two as one pass, and it's the most booked combo in The Hague. The museums are a short walk apart in the centre, so they fit into one day.
Can I visit both museums on different days?
Check the booking page: some passes let you choose a date per museum, others use one date for both.
Is the Madurodam + Amsterdam canal cruise combo practical?
Only if you're visiting both cities. Madurodam is in The Hague and the cruise leaves from Amsterdam Central Station, so you need the train in between and ideally two days.
Which combo suits kids best?
SkyView de Pier + SEA LIFE Scheveningen is the most booked family combo: a Ferris wheel on the pier and an aquarium on the beachfront. Madurodam, the miniature Netherlands, is the other pick; pair it with the Mauritshuis if the children will sit through a museum, or use the Amsterdam cruise combo if you're heading north.
