Which Chambord combo to book
The classic Loire trio. The Loire Valley Châteaux Pass combines Chambord, Chenonceau and the Royal Château de Blois. These are the three most visited names in the valley, which makes this the default for a first trip. Blois is the closest to Chambord; Chenonceau, the château over the river Cher, is further away, so plan the order around where you're staying.
Leonardo da Vinci fans. The pass with Château du Clos Lucé, Château Royal d'Amboise and Chambord follows the Renaissance story. Clos Lucé is the house where Leonardo spent his last years, a short walk from the Amboise château, and both parts come with skip-the-line entry. Add Chambord, whose famous double-helix staircase is often linked to his ideas, and you have a well-themed day or two.
A second day near Tours. The Touraine Châteaux Pass doesn't include Chambord but complements it: the gardens of Villandry, the water-ringed Azay-le-Rideau and the Royal Fortress of Chinon with an augmented-reality tablet. It suits travellers staying west of Blois or doing a longer loop.
Families. Chambord's park and Chinon's tablet tour tend to work well with children. For a short stay with kids, one pass and a slower pace beats trying to tick off every château.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?
All three are sold by Tiqets as passes, single products rather than bundles of separately priced tickets, so we can't show a like-for-like saving. The main value is one checkout and the three entries settled before you set off. To judge it, compare the pass with the entry prices of the châteaux you would visit anyway, and skip a pass if you'll only see two of the three.
How the tickets work
You book once and receive a ticket for each château, usually on your phone. Each château scans its own ticket. The châteaux are spread across the valley and public transport between them is limited, so most people drive or join a tour; leave enough time between visits. Check whether each part has a fixed date or an open entry, and how many days the pass gives you. Cancellation conditions are on the booking page. Our guide explains how passes differ from bundles.
