The original Lascaux cave is closed to the public. What you visit in Montignac is Lascaux IV, the International Centre for Cave Art with its full-size replica of the painted cave. Every combo here builds on it.

• Several days in the valley: the Vézère Valley pass bundles Lascaux IV (self-guided with audio guide), the Laugerie-Basse prehistoric shelter, the Grand Roc cave and Thot Park, where you see animals similar to those painted in the caves. Good for families who want variety.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?

The Vézère Valley pass is priced as one product, so compare it with the four single tickets. The real gain is having the Lascaux IV slot fixed, since guided visits are by time slot and can fill up in summer.
