Which Naples combo to book
Naples combo tickets split into two groups: the archaeological sites around Vesuvius, and the sights in the historic centre.
- Ancient sites, independent travellers: the Vesuvius, Herculaneum & Pompeii Pass on Tiqets. It includes a flexible Pompeii entry with an audio guide, Herculaneum entry and a Vesuvius ticket with a guidebook. Pompeii and Herculaneum are both on the Circumvesuviana train line from Naples, so you can do them on your own. Read recent reviews before you book; they tell you more about the day than the product title.
- Ancient sites, no planning: a Pompeii + Vesuvius day trip from Naples. GetYourGuide and Headout sell versions with transfers, and Headout has one with lunch. These solve the hardest part, which is getting up the mountain.
- Short city break: the Naples City Card. It covers Naples Underground (a guided tour), the National Archaeological Museum, where many of the best finds from Pompeii and Herculaneum are kept, and the Sansevero Chapel with the Veiled Christ. All three are in or near the old centre.
- Art and churches: GetYourGuide sells a San Gennaro & Caravaggio combined ticket for the old town.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?
The Naples passes are mainly about convenience: one order, one set of tickets and a planned route. They are not always cheaper than buying the parts, and where a bundle shows a saving against its parts on the same platform, the ticket in the list says so. The Artecard on GetYourGuide is a regional pass with its own pricing logic; it pays off if you visit several of its sites and use its transport options.
How the tickets work
- You receive a ticket for each part, usually on your phone. Each site scans its own.
- Vesuvius entry is for a set time slot, and the crater path can close in high wind or bad weather. Check the slot and the conditions the day before.
- Pompeii is huge and has little shade. Start early, carry water and plan at least half a day.
- Herculaneum is smaller and better preserved in places; two or three hours is usually enough.
- The Naples Underground part is a guided tour with set start times. The Sansevero Chapel is small and limits visitors, so check the time on that ticket too.
- Cancellation rules differ per part. Read the conditions on the booking page.
Combos Tiqets doesn't sell here
Tiqets has no Pompeii + Vesuvius day trip with transport. GetYourGuide sells several, including a Pompeii and Vesuvius combo with transfer and tickets, and Headout has a guided version with lunch and a plain Pompeii + Mount Vesuvius entry combo with audio guide. GetYourGuide also sells the Campania Artecard and two old-town combined tickets: San Gennaro & Caravaggio, and San Gennaro & Vasari.
