Which Edinburgh combo to book
First visit. The Edinburgh Pass is the most-booked and best-rated choice. Edinburgh Castle (with a guided tour) is at the top of the Royal Mile, the Scotch Whisky Experience (Silver Tour) is just below it, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse is at the bottom. Walk downhill through the day and you've covered the Old Town.
Royal sights by bus. Royal Attractions Tickets + Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour comes bundled on Tiqets with a city audio guide app, at a small discount. The bus helps if the hill or the weather puts you off walking. Check the listing for which royal sites are included.
Short stay. With one day, the Edinburgh Pass is the better fit than a bus bundle: the three sights are in walking distance along the Royal Mile, and the bus mainly helps with places further out.
Whisky and gin. Edinburgh Castle + Holyrood Distillery Whisky & Gin Tour pairs the castle with a distillery tasting near Holyrood. It has very few reviews so far, so read the details before you commit.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?
The two Tiqets bundles are about 5% cheaper than their parts. The Edinburgh Pass is mostly about convenience: three of the city's main paid sights in one checkout.
How the tickets work
You get a separate ticket for each attraction in one order, usually on your phone. Castle entry and whisky tours run at set times, so choose slots with enough gap between them. Holyroodhouse is a working royal residence and can close for royal events, so check its opening before your date. Cancellation can differ by part — read the conditions on the booking page. Combos Tiqets doesn't sell here
GetYourGuide has the most-reviewed bus combo: Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour City & Britannia. Headout sells Royal Attractions Tickets with a 48-hour hop-on hop-off bus.
