Which Porto combo to book

First visit, one or two days. The Porto Highlights Pass is the best-rated combo here. It covers the climb up the Clérigos Tower, the Catedral do Porto and a Six Bridges cruise from Cais da Ribeira. All three are in or below the old town, so they fit in one day on foot.

Seeing more without walking it all. The Porto Explorer Pass is the most reviewed option. It joins the cathedral with a 48-hour hop-on hop-off bus, a river cruise, a wine cellar visit and an intimate fado concert. It suits a two-day stay and anyone who wants the port wine side of Porto in the same ticket.

History and museums. The Historic Porto Pass pairs the cathedral and Clérigos with the World of Discoveries museum and an audio guide app. There's also a smaller bundle of a Six Bridges cruise from Gaia with World of Discoveries, which suits families.

Art and music. The Porto Culture Pass combines the Serralves Foundation, the cathedral and the fado concert. Serralves is in the west of the city, away from the centre, so give it a half day. The pass has fewer and more mixed reviews than the others.

Douro Valley. One bundle pairs a Douro cruise with lunch from Régua and the fado concert in Porto. Régua is up the valley, so this is a day trip, not a city ticket.

Is a combo cheaper than separate tickets?

The two Tiqets bundles, Douro cruise + fado and Six Bridges cruise + World of Discoveries, are priced about 5% below their parts. The passes are sold as a single product. Their value is one checkout and a ready-made route, not a guaranteed discount, so check you'd use every part. The Explorer Pass makes most sense if you'll ride the bus on both days.

How the tickets work

You check out once and receive a ticket for each part, usually on your phone. Check whether Clérigos or the concert asks for a time, and which pier the cruise leaves from. Cais da Ribeira and Cais de Gaia are on opposite banks of the Douro. Cancellation rules can differ per part, so read the conditions on the booking page. Our guide explains the basics.
